The lovely old village of Avène is located in a privileged location in the Orb valley, in the heart of the Haut-Languedoc Regional Park in Southern France.
Even though Avène Thermal Spring Water has yet to unveil all its secrets, most were uncovered in the past 30 years of research conducted by the Avène Dermatological Laboratories.
Hydrotherapy Centre: daily treatments take place under dermatological control and include core treatments common to all pathologies and complementary treatments prescribed on an individual basis. In addition, the Hydrotherapy Centre has developed educational and information programs to assist patients in understanding their condition better and therefore optimize the treatment benefits. Surrounded by nature, patients spend their time in a quiet environment.
The Production Plant: following a journey of over 40 years, Avène Thermal Spring Water wells up, clear and pure, is collected and directed towards the Production Plant where the Avène Dermatological Laboratories products are manufactured.
The Water Research Centre: strategically located between the Hydrotherapy Centre and the Production Plant, this multidisciplinary research laboratory is the scientific part of the Avène area business community. The Water Research Centre constantly controls and monitors the purity and qualities of Avène Thermal Spring Water. The Water Research Centre collaborates with water experts and Pierre Fabre Group research to further the knowledge on the unique genesis and properties of Avène Thermal Spring Water. Training and communication also take place here.
